What things matter most to you in life?

For Mom and I, the number one thing of most importance is our relationship to the Lord Jesus. Because this is number one, the time we spend with our Lord is studying His Word and praying together goes hand in hand with our relationship to Him. When we say He is first in our lives, we need to be sure He is first, so feeding on His Word and praying are very important.

Spending time with our family is cherished. We love our family and love spending time with them. The older we get, the more important it is to us to have family time. Our desire is that our family would also have that same desire to find ways to get together. It is too easy today to drift apart. We need to be intentional about getting together. We don’t ever want it to become a “use to.”

It is important to continue to create memories. We have had so many, and it is a joy to reflect on them. But we need to find ways to create new memories. In calling on the elderly, I find they love to tell their stories. Even though I may have heard them several times, I still find it a joy to listen to them tell it again. It means so much to them to be able to share their “memories.”

Having a “servant’s heart” is important to both of us. We love to serve. We love to do what needs to be done. My age-old motto, thanks to Nike – “JUST DO IT.” We are blessed so that we can be a blessing.
