Were you named after a family member or does your name have a special meaning?

I, Ruby, don’t think I was ever named after a family member…at one time though, I heard that I might have been named after one of my dad’s girlfriends…nevertheless…it makes a good story. I love the meaning of my name though as a precious stone…I know that I am precious to God, my husband, and my family.
